ADJUSTED TIER 6 RATES

Dear SSEU Local 371 members: The unions have successfully won reforms to the employee contribution rates for Tier 6 pensions! Effective October 1, 2026, employee contributions will be reduced to newly-established salary bands. The majority of city workers are now enrolled in Tier 6 pensions. This tier requires higher contributions with reduced benefits and a longer vesting period compared to previous tiers. Reforming Tier 6 was the union's TOP priority in this budget. SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS and watch mightyunion.org for updates. Join SSEU Local 371 as we continue to fight for reforms to the Tier 6 pension system. Follow us on social media, join our committees, and get involved! In solidarity, President Anthony Wells and the officers and staff of SSEU Local 371
