The SSEU Local 371 Annuity Fund has learned of fraudulent activity involving false claims being filed on behalf of members without their authority.
We are investigating this matter thoroughly using all resources at our disposal, including our legal counsel, IT department, cyber security consultants and cyber insurance and reported it to law enforcement.
So far, this has only impacted a small number of members who are retired or terminated from employment with the City.
The Annuity Fund has implemented enhanced identity confirmation protocols to prevent further incidents.
Be assured that the Annuity Fund and the Union take these matters and the security of our members’ information and benefits extremely seriously and will take all necessary measures to protect same.
