Late Thursday night, President Trump signed an executive order stripping collective bargaining rights from nearly one million federal workers – including thousands of AFSCME members.
This attack on our most fundamental freedoms is blatant retribution – the White House fact sheet explaining the executive order said so itself. The administration wants to silence workers because we’re holding them accountable and winning.
This is union-busting plain and simple. It’s all part of their plan to rob working people of our power for the benefit of the ultra-wealthy. We need you to make your voice heard to protect union contracts.
Our message is simple. Tell your elected officials: the Trump administration is punishing unions for speaking out against its illegal actions. It’s un-American, and all members of Congress who support working people and freedom must speak out.
In the labor movement, we know we are strongest when we stand together. We must fight this outrageous attack on our freedoms.
